Embark on a captivating journey with us, starting as our driver-guide picks you up from your accommodation in Zurich and takes you through the charming landscape of Switzerland to the village of Erlenbach.
Here your epic hiking adventure in the heart of Switzerland will begin. This self-guided hike allows you to immerse yourself in the breathtaking natural beauty of the Stockhorn region, with a twist - you'll have the opportunity to choose between 2 different options, depending on your mood and fitness level.
(A) Hike starting from Chrindi: Your journey begins with a scenic gondola ride that will transport you to the elevated plateau of Chrindi. From here you will pass the crystal-clear Mountain lakes of Stockhorn as you ascend the summit!
(B) Hike starting from Stockhorn Summit: This way you will take the Gondola all the way to the summit and enjoy the breathtaking views on your way down while you will have the whole beauty of the Stockhorn Mountain lakes and the swiss Alps in front of you.
Self-Guided Hike: Once you reach the Gondola, the choice is entirely yours. This is a self-guided hike, which means there will be no guide accompanying you during your hiking adventure. We will equip you with a map of the trail and you can follow the well-marked path in your preferred direction. You have the freedom to explore at your own pace, allowing you to connect with the natural world and choose your own path. No matter which option you choose for your hike, you'll be treated to awe-inspiring views of the Stockhorn with its two picturesque lakes and the surrounding Swiss Alps.
Optional: Fishing with a guide In case you prefer fishing instead of hiking, Hinterstocken Lake and Oberstocken Lake offer an alpine fishing experience! Upon request, we can organize equipment rental and guide for a 2-3 hour fishing tour on the lakes of Stockhorn.
Lakeside Picnic: Upon your return to the Erlenbach Valley Station, your dedicated driver-guide will warmly welcome you once more. From there, a short journey will lead you to a charming lakeside location nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Brienz. Here, a delectable picnic of Swiss delicacies awaits, thoughtfully prepared just for you. Take a leisurely pause, savour the flavours, and unwind by dipping your toes into the crystal-clear waters of the lake, basking in the gentle embrace of the last golden sunrays of the day.
