Set out on an enthralling journey across the Swiss Alps with our guided hiking tour along the Lake Oeschinen Circular trail. This lovely walk offers stunning vistas, immaculate scenery, and alpine delights as it takes you above Lake Oeschinen. Throughout the experience, you will be under the guidance of an experienced hiking guide.
You'll meet your driver-guide in the hotel lobby in Geneva to start your day. He will give you a quick orientation before you go. Wear hiking-appropriate clothing, and be sure you have everything you need.
The excursion begins with a picturesque drive to the town of Kandersteg through Central Switzerland. This is where you will meet your knowledgeable hiking guide and take the Gondola up to the Oeschinensee station from Kandersteg.
The 9-kilometer, somewhat difficult Lake Oeschinen Loop trail takes you high above the lake for the best panoramic views. You'll pass through meadows and forests on your journey, stopping at several views to take in the splendor of the lake. Your journey will gain depth from your guide's insights into the regional ecology, geology, and topography.
During lunchtime, you'll enjoy a delectable packed meal at a picturesque location with a view of the lake and the breathtaking mountains.
Explore the region at your own pace, enjoy a snack, take pictures, and take in the tranquil atmosphere of the Swiss Alps.
The final third of the trip will take you alongside Lake Oeschinen, where you may cool yourself in the glistening Alpine lake.
After finishing the Lake Oeschinen Circular trail and returning to the Oeschinensee station, the hike comes to an end. As you descend to Kandersteg, your gondola ride will provide even more breathtaking vistas.
After a long and exciting day, your driver-guide will be waiting for you when you get back to Kandersteg and take you to your lodging in Geneva.
