Itinerary Details

Embark on a mesmerizing journey from your hotel in Basel, where our experienced driver-guide will guide you through the scenic Swiss landscapes to the renowned Lauterbrunnen Valley, famously called the Valley of 72 Waterfalls.

Ascend to the magnificent Grütschalp using a panoramic gondola, initiating an invigorating hike to Allmendhubel at 1900m above sea level. In this self-guided adventure, you will start by navigating the well-marked path, following the provided description.

Traverse alpine meadows beneath Schilthorn (2970m), adorned with blueberries and grazing cattle. Take in breathtaking views of the iconic Jungfrau, Mönch, and Eiger, the central Swiss Alps' most iconic peaks.

After approximately 2.5 hours, covering a total distance of 5km with a 480m elevation gain, you'll reach Allmendhubel. Indulge in local refreshments at the Panoramic Restaurant, and explore the nearby Flower Path, featuring informative displays on Alpine fauna.

Following a well-deserved rest amidst alpine vistas, descend comfortably via two different gondolas to Stechelberg. Enjoy the spectacular views of waterfalls and steep cliffs gracing the Lauterbrunnen Valley during the descent.

At the Stechelberg Station, your dedicated driver-guide offers two options:

1) Choose the scenic hiking path through the Lauterbrunnen Valley (5km) for a picnic at your chosen spot.

2) Opt for our driver-guide to take you to a scenic location on the shores of Lake Brienz for your picnic and a refreshing swim.

At the end of the trip, our driver-guide ensures a secure return to your accommodation in Basel, marking the end of an extraordinary adventure.
