Full description

The Rhine Falls (Rheinfall) is bathed in breathtaking, stupendous beauty and is the largest plain waterfall in Europe.

The falls are located on the High Rhine at Neuhausen am Rheinfall Village and just below Schaffhausen in the north of Switzerland. The Rhine's waters flow at the rate of 23 metres over a breadth of 150 metres. The tub's depth is 13 metres and the average torrential is 600 m per second. Therefore, the visitors are offered a stunning view of the cascading waterfalls.

AlpExcursion invites all the tourists and those who are fond of nature to be amazed by the magnificent scenery of Europe’s largest waterfall and feel nature’s miracle shaping our planet.

The world-famous Rhine Falls is around 15,000 years old. The reason behind the creation of this miracle was the tectonic shifts during the Ice Age.

Due to the traditionally formed border between different countries, the Rhine was an inspiration for many impressive man-made structures such as castles, or other fascinating buildings. However, for the most part, the natural attractiveness of the river overshadows such architectural works. The best time to visit the falls is from May to June because of the high amount of water.

The observation platform gives you a special opportunity to get closer to this impressive scenery and capture some memorable photos of the astonishing views. Another observation deck was built in the heart of the powerful water to take you closer to this miraculous view. Right in the middle of the falls, a mighty rock is proudly nestled, which can be reached by taking a boat trip. The daring travellers can climb it for more spectacular pictures.

The First of August is the Swiss National Holiday. To celebrate it in a special way, take part in the astonishing fireworks display at the Rhine Falls, which will make your visit totally unforgettable.

The famous destination provides all the facilities for the visitors by offering various restaurants, lots of activities, and the best shops for memorable souvenirs.

After the wonderful experience in the Rhine Falls, find yourself in the Schloss Laufen. The stupendous castle, which overlooks the thundering Rhine waters, dates back to the year 858. The castle's panoramic glass elevator offers incredible close-up views of the imposing sight, while it takes you down closer to the Rhine Falls.

This heavenly miracle is one of the best places to visit in Switzerland. Don't miss this worthwhile opportunity to witness the beauty of this region during a private tour “From Zurich to the Rhine Falls.” Give us the honour of escorting you in this wonderful place!
