Full description

Geneva is the second-largest city in Switzerland. The French-speaking city is famous as the “World’s Smallest Metropolis” and is situated on the banks of Lake Geneva, right at the foot of the Swiss Alps.

One of the first things the tourists will feel about Geneva is cultural diversity. It is known as a “Capital of Peace,” for being home to the European headquarters of UNO and the Red Cross, as well as more than 180 international organisations.

Geneva has many beautiful sights to enjoy; the best vista of this incredible city is right from the top of Mont Saleve. Geneva is compact, classy, and cosmopolitan, plus it is super central.

International meetings, numerous scientific congresses, and different museum exhibits make Geneva the most international and visited city in Switzerland and state its long-lasting history of tolerance and diversity.

Maison Tavel - "the History Museum of Geneva", is a house of permanent exhibitions about Geneva's domestic and vervain history, from here you will find out the shape of this amazing city.

During summer, numerous activities can be explored in Geneva, especially the concerts on Parc de La Grange “scenic lakeside park,” the paddle boat rides on the lake, or boating on the Rhone.

The radiance of this city is evident and interesting with the varied tourist attractions.

The Eglise Russe, with its wonderful, gilded iron domes, represents a slice of Russia in the centre of Geneva.

Jet d'Eau Fountain is a massive 140 metres high water jet with 500 litres of water pouring out into the open air. It is also one of the tallest fountains in the world.

The old city is famous for its alleys and the symbol of reformation, Saint Peter’s Cathedral. If you are brave enough to climb up the 157 stairs to the tower, you will be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views.

The flower clock with about 6500 flowers is located in the English Garden over the beautiful gardens, where the plant varieties show the Swiss precise time.

Geneva also remains a top tourist destination for its delicious chocolate, luxury watches, and rich history.

Likewise, Geneva is loved for its Old Town, which dates back to over 2000 years. Here you can easily step back in time. Its myriad of narrow streets, small squares, restaurants, and cafes make the life serene and relaxing.

Stroll along the shady avenues through the Parc de Bastions while relaxing and unwinding in the presence of the locals.

During the first week of August, you can enjoy the Geneva festival. This includes big fun fair and spectacular fireworks.
